You can use a microSD card of up to 128GB. However, you will have to sacrifice the second SIM card slot to expand you phone’s storage capacity.
The cameras are impressive. If you are fan of Huawei phones, you obviously expect nothing less. It has a 16MP back camera. This is a slight upgrade from the 13Mp shooter on Huawei Ascend 7. Like other Huawei phones, the phone automatically blurs out all the blemishes.
Blur is a major negative aspect of rear camera in this phones. A slight movement when taking a picture can make you capture an image with blur. This can be annoying especially for people who have have used cameras in phones like the Sony Xperia Z5. However, without movements, both the rear and the front cameras on the Huawei Mate 8 capture impressive images even in low light conditions.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a power 4000mAh battery. This battery can get you through a day of heavy use. If you are not a heavy user, you can use your phones for two or more days without recharging its battery. One of the features that make this phone have a long battery life is the “smart app feature”. This feature allows you to see the apps that are consuming the most power in your phone. It also reminds you to shut down the apps that you are not using. Although this feature is helpful, some people might find it irritating. There are other options that can help you extend battery life.
